Latest News from Stewart and Carol

A Royal viewing and reading

On 1st February, HRH The Prince of Wales visited the ‘Metamorphosis’ ikonography exhibition at The London Jesuit Centre, London, W1.  Carol was invited by exhibition curator, and tutor, Dr. Irina V. Bradley to read Stewart’s poem, ‘Priceless’ to Prince Charles as he viewed Carol’s latest ikon, Archangel Raphael. (The poem was originally written for the dedication of Carol’s first ikon, Archangel Gabriel, in 2015).

Following the reading, there was spontaneous Royal applause, with Carol presenting him with a copy of the poem, along with Stewart’s latest collection, ‘Especially, now…’ A lengthy conversation followed between HRH, Carol and Stewart, in which the talk was of writing poetry for ikons, alliteration…and Affenpinschers. Poppy, who followed the Prince around as an unofficial minder, received a Royal pat(ent!) of approval.
